Bierce Surveying selected by TrustMark to deliver their on-site inspections for the government’s Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme

Bierce Surveying Ltd (“Bierce”) has been appointed by Trustmark as the sole organisation to deliver their on-site inspections for measures installed under the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme (GHGVS).

This follows the appointment of Bierce earlier this year to support Trustmark in the delivery of the ECO Technical Monitoring Pilot Phase.

In July 2020, the Chancellor announced a £2 billion Green Homes Grant Scheme in England to help homeowners and landlords improve over 600,000 homes to be more energy efficient across England.

The Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme is a government grant scheme for property owners and landlords in England to help pay for energy efficient measures in their home. The home energy-saving improvements carried out under the government’s GHGVS must be completed by a TrustMark Registered Business and for low carbon technologies, must also be registered with the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.  Since inception in 2005, TrustMark has been instrumental, along with their Scheme Providers, in enhancing levels of consumer protection in a range of industry sectors.

TrustMark reserves the right to undertake an audit on any measures that have been completed under the GHGVS and as such. it has appointed Bierce to deliver them.

Paul Phillips at TrustMark said “After a robust selection process we are pleased to have chosen Bierce as the organisation to support TrustMark with onsite inspection services in the delivery of the Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme”.

Nick Ainger, MD and Neil Bowles, Director of Surveying and Quality Assurance, Bierce said: “We are delighted that Trustmark has put its confidence in Bierce to deliver their on-site inspections for the GHGVS. Having worked with us on ECO Technical Monitoring, we have proven repeatedly that our goals are aligned  - that is, to fully support the industry to deliver high-quality installations whilst also providing much-need protection for the consumer. We’re looking forward to working together and hope to undertake the first on-site inspections shortly.”
